Joan Kanan - Painter/sculptor

    I started my second career as an artist after years of working in education and state and local governments. I work with clay, acrylics and oil.  I have shown my work in galleries and shows in  Tallahassee, Apalachicola and South Georgia, but I currently have works for sale here at the Wiregrass Gallery.

    My style varies but I like strong colors and bold statement to be reflected in my pieces. My subject matter is taken from my travels and reflects the beauty of the coastal south.
