Visiting Artist of the Month
Kozelinski Ann has embraced an ancient art form, Sumi-e, and through her representation of contemporary subject matter she has made it her own, while respecting its tradition. Sumi-e means ink painting. In the spontaneous style of this art form, the essence of the subject is distilled to a powerful image. It leaves a memorable impact on the viewer, the same way a haiku leaves its reader with a clear image while using words. It is truly a Zen experience when painter and subject become one on paper.
