Jojo McGoogan - Jewelry
Jojo Mcgoogan creates jewelry mainly with sterling and fine silver. She has always been passionate about crafting, and after trying various mediums, she became drawn to fabricating jewelry using metals and stones.
Her work starts as sterling silver sheet and wire, then is fabricated by fire, hammers, and files into jewelry pieces to serve as talismans for everyday wear. She gets a certain satisfaction from a perfectly soldered bezel as well as a cathartic release of profanity when one melts. She is a member of the Florida Society of Goldsmiths. Jojo will join other Wiregrass jewelers Saturday, February 10th to demonstrate some of her techniques.
